Huntsman Corporation-230 polyoxypropylenediamine is one of a family of the company's polyamines having as their backbones repeated oxypropylene units. It is a difunctional primary amine having an average molecular weight of approximately 230. Its amine groups are located on secondary carbon atoms at the ends of an aliphatic polyether chain.

It is light in color, low in viscosity and vapor pressure, high in primary amine content, and completely miscible in a wide variety of solvents, including water.

It undergoes reactions typical of primary amines. Because of its unique structure, however, it has found its most significant use as an epoxy curing agent. Its use leads to tough, clear, impact-resistant coatings, castings, and adhesives.
